 Sharing extensions and templates
Is there a place where SJB users can share their extensions and templates?
E.g. I think that SJB does not come with a twitter connection allowing to post any new job offer to twitter. But I saw it on at least one SJB driven site. Maybe this feature could be shared amongst users?
And several users said they would like to see cleaner HTML/CSS templates and indicated that they were working on such templates.
Is there any place where such enhancements are shared so that we can leverage the combined creativity of the SJB users?
Thanks and best regards Uwe

 Re: Sharing extensions and templates
Hi Uwe, I'm working on a major modification of the latest V3 template so will be happy to post it.
My client is keen for me to add a twitter feed so will watch this space.
The thing is that this isn't an open source project so if modifications affect the core, customer support might have a problem with modded sites. Also not sure how admin would feel about posting of code which they created for me, occasionally at a fee.?

 Re: Sharing extensions and templates
Hi James,
you are right: Support and licensing could be a problem - but it could and should work for those who extend SJB themselves, taking support in their own hands.
My hope would be that suitable extensions of the original software might be taken up for the next version. Maybe one could even arrange with the makers of SJB to program extensions for a fee and to make the extension available in the next version (if it makes sense for a larger part of the users, such as a Twitter-connection). Otherwise one risk to having to adapt any extension with each new release of the software.
We are a bit short on time at the moment, I guess we can really test-run and adapt the SJB-templates in May. I would very much appreciate to see your work by then - and I would be happy to post any adaptations, here, as well.
Good luck and best regards Uwe.

 Re: Sharing extensions and templates
With all that I have seen from this software, I am very excited to get into my 15-day trial next week, and then into production shortly thereafter.
One of the things I like most about one of SJB's competitors (other than lower price) is that the posting to Twitter is already included in their package. This would be a definite asset to SJB, and since the developers have already created the code, why wouldn't they simply include it with the package.
As minor as it seems, it may be the very thing that makes me go elsewhere. I guess we'll see how the trial goes.
I'd like to see someone make this mod and post it without risking support or stability.
